I agree about the lack of wisdom in yanking on the hose as a dump method. But almost everybody makes their jacket style BCs that way.

I dive a CressiSub jacket and it never makes me yank on my hose. It has its dump valve up on the top of the right shoulder with a nice, easy to locate ball on a string high on the right front of the BC.

Best feeling BC I have used to date. During the dive, I like it better than back inflation. I miss back inflation on surface swims (face up swimming is for me!), but most fo the inflation of this BC is behind me and that which is on the front is very low and helps to right me when I fully inflate at the surface.

Just a sales pitch, I know. But diving would be better if everybody wore the same gear as I do.
