Mike, I received no dry suit training from any agency, my use of which began many moons ago with a full neoprene Unisuit requiring tons of lead. Several years ago I got into a trilam dry suit which I purchased in the UK (Polar Bears). My total dry suit diving hours numbers into the hundreds. From way back when I believe all agencies recommended, and still do, dry suit inflation for buoyancy and trim during the dive, bc inflation for surface only or in the event of a dry suit inflation failure. Practice may not lead to perfection but, in my case, I achieve perfect horizontal trim at any depth utilizing the dry suit only. In my personal opinionated opinion, double inflation spells potential double trouble, especially for the newly certified jumping right into a dry suit. What are the suit manufacturers suggesting now: your way or theirs?
