"What I Learned at 240 Feet
In 1994 I enrolled in a three-day deep diving course at Hal Watts' Forty-Fathom Grotto near Ocala, Fla. Graduation was a 240-foot dive on air—and lots of decompression stops.
The training I received then marks a turning point in my evolution as a diver. I went from being a typical recreational diver to a much safer, more disciplined, more self-sufficient diver no matter where or how deep I dived. Most of all, I came to believe that the skills and behaviors that form the basis of technical dive training should be a part of every diver's ethos:

meticulous planning for every dive
unflagging dedication to efficiency, skill and safety on every dive
constant respect for the underwater world and the knowledge required to be there safely.
—David Taylor"

Ohh really?
