PTF's description can happen so fast that you almost don't have to stop. For me, I would describe it as more of a pause. I can even coincide most dumps with my stops. Anyway, with all the advantages of slow ascents, even if I do have to stop momentarily, I consider PTF's description of lift bag ascents to be built into my slow ascent, an advantage.
