I was engaging in a bit of hyperbole there, Jeff.
I always manage to teach what is required, even though
it seems like I'm cramming sometimes. For a basic open
water class I usually get 9 hours of pool time, depending
on where I'm teaching. I would prefer more, say at LEAST
12 hr., but with good help (assistants), 9 is just enough for the
"good" students. Less adept folks need more time, and
I can usually tell early who those will be.
