48 hours is sometimes required before flying according to the NOAA chart for deco dives. that would be inferring that your dives became deco, and the the DCS was therefore triggered on the plane.

maybe the plane had compression problems, and the normal 6000 feet compression equivalent was somewhat different, say 7000 or 8000 in the cabin.

it could also be due to personal factors. maybe you represent that 5% that can get DCS whereas normally people would not.
