thats where the heart muscle between both halves of the heart does not close up completely during growth and development. it allows the returning blue blood and the O2 enriched bright red blood to slosh around together, which reduces off-gassing efficiency since that takes place in the lungs. this could make you more susceptible to DCS than the rest of us, who have hearts of stone, without leakage.

see your DR before you go on any more "deep" dives, or any "long" shallower ones.

good point, MikeKane. i would have never thought of that, had you not mentioned it as a possibility. my guess was that the skypilot in the aeroplane didnt have the cabin pressure right.

guess = hypothesis = experiment = theory = test the theory = possible solutions, huh JeffB??
