My understanding is that the bound version of the manual will be available to the general public. I was down in Monterey a couple of weeks ago and asked at MBDC about copies of the class material. I was told that they only get enough for classes.
I live at the north end of Santa Rosa. A weekend in Monterey on short notice is just too expensive for me in the summer. With the cheapest motel at about $100, if you are lucky to find a room at the diver rate, I need to wait until winter when the rates go down and the vacancies go up. Hopefully there'll be more advance notice for future classes.
