The curling break is to the right, and the open patch is to the left as you look TOWARDS the water. I said that, and then chunked the directions. The cardinals are still correct though.
Sorry, now I'm really embarrassed. Can't even tell my left from my right. No wonder I kept getting my tail kicked when sparring. I thought it was just cause I sucked at it!
