and 25fsw to 35fsw is where all or most OW1 classes are taught.

AOW or OW2 or "Adventure Diving" usually follows OW1, in which additional basic topics such as underwater navigation with a compass, "natural" underwater topographic navigation, night diving, "deeper" diving, and boat diving are taught/explained. Adding Nitrox to this curriculum might result in task overloading, therefore Nitrox is usuall the THIRD course most open water "recreational" sport divers take.

my conclusion is that Nitrox should NOT be taught at the basic OW1 level. now, let me look and see what everyone else has said. cant wait for all the various ad hominems about what I have just recommended.
