Monterey diving is indeed awesome - however there
are things to take into consideration: water temp
from 49 to ~55 degrees (if you're lucky), possible
low vis, kelp, special beach entries and exits,
just to name a few. Have you dove in these types
of conditions, how long ago etc? With the proper
precautions diving in Monterey can be an enjoyable
experience. You can even hire one of the local
DMs to take you on a tour to orient you with a particular
dive site. Be safe and have fun!
