The trail has since been reopened. I'll try to make this less confusing. From Hawthorne Blvd, turn Right on Palos Verdes Drive. Turn left at Paseo Lunado(the one before you get to the stop sign). Stay on this street. After you pass an elementary school on the left, the road curves left and becomes Paseo Del Mar. A few hundred feet ahead is the corner of Paseo Del Mar and Via Neve. The trail is on the right. One of the steepest trails on the peninsula, but well worth it. My wife and I used to make one dive, then climb back up and change tanks, then go back down for a second dive. After a few days of that, we started taking down four tanks and leaving two of them on the rocks. If someone wanted to steal them and haul them up the path, more power to them.
