looks like we all agree that there is no way a fully pressurized DIN valve could have come loose. not even with a crescent wrench. you would strip the threads first, and even then it still wouldnt come off.
but the rocking of the boat could do wonders to unpressurize one that has been turned off, and then unscrew it.
and a slippery handed thief could too.
for sure.
