The best example I can give when discussing the differences between PP and membranes are that when PP belinding you add the 02 first in the required PSI and then you add the air.. That is why it is referred to as *Enriched air*, you've enriched the air with 02...
A membrane system can best be described by comparing it to a filter on a cigarette. I don't smoke but if you have ever seen the end of a cigarette and saw that yellow film in the filter, it is filtering out the nicotine.. That's precisely what a memebrane does it filter's out the N2 and allows you to get a higher 02 content..
