Good question.
For instance, my pony is always 40% EANx. Empty, it's first filled with 730 psi O2, then filled with 21% up to 3000. So why not first pump the cylinder with 2,270 psi 21%, then add 730 psi O2 for a 3000 psi 40% Nitrox fill? Gotta be a reason. Anyone?
