It was my belief that the safety was also improved. The oxidation issue (tendancy for spontaneous combustion of greasy o-rings in the valve and stuff like that) is a function of pressure, is it not?

I know I feel much better about exposing tanks and valves to O2 at 500 psi than I do >2000 psi.

I could be totally wrong on this one, but it would not be the first time!
