Hello All,

There is a rumor regarding an incident that happened at the Coronados Islands on Wednesday that I want to nip in the bud.

A private vessel carrying 3 divers came up 1 diver short at the end of the dive.
After a substantial search they notified the Coast Guard of the situation.
Coasties launched the big red bird and began a search of the islands.
The 2 divers on the pleasure craft circled the island twice during this time and passed the Lois Ann. They let us know there was a diver missing and to be on the lookout.
The Coast Guard found the diver, high and dry on the rocks right next to where they had been diving, safe and waiting for his buddies.

The Lois Ann did not send a mayday, nor did we converse with the Coast Guard at all.
No Divers from the Lois Ann nor North County Scuba Center that had chartered the boat were missing, presumed missing or involved in the incident.
Someone has called North County Scuba Center making these accusations, accusations with no foundation in reality or fact.

Should you hear of this incident please set the record straight, this type of slander is not what the Lois Ann, North County Scuba Center or the San Diego dive Community needs or deserves.

Thanks for your time,
