Padi is Not a big promoter of standards...

the PADI courses ARE the most common and PADI IS very prolific in diver output BUT Most other agencies have higher requirements/standards. If you wish to LEARN a higher standard, go GUE, if you wish to get a pretty card and be certified by Friday, go PADI.
PS there ARE PADI instructors who care and WILL give you a good training, Now is the time for those ones to come forward.
