needless to say, none of the goiah babes that has dined in the shimmer of my table's candleabra has complained about the unkosher salt & pepper. au contraire, some of them have simply refused to go home for several days and nights. more, more, more!
the secret is in the wine used as a saute base. chardonnay for white sauces, and cabernet for dark. for the chowder, the white wine is best.
