Actual I drop my PADI cert. for about 10 years, and only renewed it because of the referrals (if you were in the business you would know that there is not much money in the referral). Sad fact of life, most of the resort areas have many more PADI stores then NAUI. It just makes it easier to give (on students) a PADI referral. By the way, they still have do the same Pool and Lectures (9hrs. of pool and 12hrs. of lecture). I think my standards are much higher then PADI's(which have know hourly requirements).
