Sounds like you are the one trying to weasel out. If you have such high travel standards and you travel as much as you claim, then you are already eligible for a free bump to biz/first class.

If you are hurting for money so bad as to no even buy your own upgraded ticket, why the offer to take them out to dinner. Or were you planning on realy throwing around the money and let everybody super-size their big mac meals?
