After a week of GLnSD, I thought it would be nice to talk about one of the best reasons for going U/W.....Taking pictures.
Is taking pictures with film a thing of the passed? I don’t know, but the only U/W sill
pictures I have taken in the last couple of years has been with my digital Olympus
C-2000R. The pictures come out great, right off the color printer ( and to be truthful I
don’t see any difference between the 8X10 off my printer and the 8X10’s from the lab).
You can get a housing for $250 and a wide angle len for $350 a strobe for $250, so with
the camera you can have a great system for about $1350. If you look at the Nikonos
systems, the housed SLR’s or even the Sea-Sea the digit system is a much better deal.
If you are looking for a camera system, I think that digital is the only way to go. Film is dead, long live digital!
