Forget caves, I'm talking open ocean diving for purposes of this thread.. If you balance your rig properly and secure your rig to the BP properly you have the makings of an overall configuration that provides for 6 lbs non-ditchable weight. Moreover, you are eliminating 6 lbs off the weightbelt which will help your trim.. Furthermore, by using a BP and wing configuration you can eliminate the clutter from your chest and stomach area, which will cause drag and reduce your efficiency...

CAD, you may want to reconsider your viewpoint in this one...
