If you're considering a back plate and wing set up, query the DIR folks. They give free in the water demos almost every month. I was a jacket type diver 'til I tried it and now dive exclusively rear inflation. Mine's a Halcyon, but you can consider DiveRite or OMS. Once you narrow the choice down, check out scuba gear on eBay. Deals can be had but don't get caught up in auction frenzy! But if bucks are no problem, buy through your local independent dive shop, NOT Sports Chalet or Divers Discount. Just some personal opinions.
