it was an amazing experience:
i was borrowing mhk's rig for the very first
time and when i went over to the gate to put
on my fins, i bent down to put the first one
on and OH, MY GOD!!!! out of nowhere i instantly
realized that i could continue to breathe. i
couldn't believe it.
all that time up until then, i thought it was
just my 2 piece wetsuit (14mm in the torso region). apparently not.
after that day, i vowed i would never put on
a jacket style b.c. again, and each time i went
diving after that, i made sure to borrow the
backplate rig until i got my own.
