here but I don't think its really necessary. Once
adrenaline kicks in even an "out of shape" diver
can swim long distances, or do rescues (if trained )


Thank you for pointing out one of the bigger differences in philosophies between the 2 agencies.. We'd rather not rely on an *adrenaline* rush in an emergency for the *out of shape* diver's..

We'd prefer that diver's stay in shape to avoid being in that situation in the first place...
