If that's true it's a pretty sad statistic. 10 minutes or less for any leadership role also. IMO, if you can't do it you're not qualified and not in good enough shape to lead or serve as DM or above. Tech diving can be very demanding and the swim endurance test in a pool should give someone a test as to their ability to cope when the going gets tough. Best not to test the heart muscle at 100+ feet with tons of gear fighting a current and find out you are not in good enough shape. Because failing at that depth it's all over.
