I could the IP address, the resolved IP, and the browser being used at the top of each post.
Take the approach that you reveal IP's. Now that gives someone who disagrees with you access to your company and possibly your boss. I have been on lists where people (not saying this would happen here only that it can and has happened before) contacted a list member's boss and attempted to get him fired or atleast repremanded. This is dirty pool...but it happens. Many of you may own your own companies or work for small companies who don't care (if you contacted my boss he'd tell you where you could file your complaint)but if you work for a large company with huge pc policies then you can really scew with someone's personal life. Not a good alternative when current system no one gets permanently hurt.....
....Email addresses are not a good control on sock puppets because they, like spamers, can use throwaway email accounts.
Josh suggested that the IP address of all who post be revealed in the posts.

>>>>Doing this reveals the address of the computer you are posting from.
Would you , as a BBS user, be willing to trade this loss of privacy for control of the Sock Puppets?
>>>IP address is the unique Internet address of the computer you are using.
The resolved IP can reveal your company or ISP, and sometimes the city you are posting from.
You browser ID can reveal what browser and type of computer you are using.
