i wash mine with distilled water several times. The first rinse gets the salt and stuff dissolved out of there, the second removes the traces of whatever is left. Keep in mind however, that my housings are ikelite, with minimal internal electronics. Some housings may incorporate electronics and cleaning instructions could vary on those. I let the housing dry in a warmish place and then i put it, still open, in a cooler location to minimize the condensation.

My biggest problem is keeping the thing out of the water for more than two weeks at a time...my camera stuff gets tons of hard, hard use.
