Chief,

just a word back regarding your earlier question about Fleet bullshit.

the highest compliment ever paid to me was by a Marine Corps infantry captain, who said that I as a young Naval Officer was a better soldier than any of his own Marine infantry officers. he said it in front of his own chief gunnery sergeant, so that word would obviously get back to his own officers about it. i guess he wasnt too happy with them, and he really wanted to piss them off.

that taught me that ANGLICO and AWS are really good Navy schools.

ANGLICO ... Air & Naval Gunfire Liaison Coordination.

AWS ... Amphibious Warfare School.

I was only with the Navy for 4 years to pay back my NROTC scholarship. then I went back to grad school and became a civilian again, although I have missed the Navy ever since. read between the lines, Chief, but keep it to yourself please.

You sound like a Chief, and you were obviously in the Navy longer than me. fair winds and following seas, Chief.
