Sorry, cant help you with the Pro Ear question but I do have an example of a different solution.
My girl friend suffers from severe difficulties in equalizing and just recently had her ears thorougly examined. Surprisingly there was nothing wrong with her ears but she has to have a nasal surgery. The surgery is not a very big one and the doctor said that it will make equalizing as easy as it can be. The "middle part" of her nose is crocked and needs to be straightened up. Even though the pain was in the ears the problem was in the nose. Strange but true.
