Farnsworth does have a bottom and from the pinnacle (66') that most boats anchor off of, you've got to swim ( scooter) quite a ways to get 300'.. For the most part, the pinnacle bottoms out at approx. 200' and if you are looking to get deeper than that you'll need to anchor off the pinnacle or do some scootering...
