Orally inflating your BC in an OOA situation is as basic as it gets.. If you can't do that you shouldn't be diving nor should you EVER have earned a C-card... That is the whole point... Doing these drills in OW means that you are prepared for the *unlikley event* that it will happen.. What the hell good does it do you to do a dog and pony show for your instructor on your knees in OW class if you don't know what the hell you are doing when the sh*t hits the fan????

That's basic PADI crap and falls under the BS catagory that your OW card is a license to learn... Well guess what, if you don't know it out of the class you may not get a chance to learn it because you'll be dead...
