My friend says she tried Sudafed and also saw a doctor. No diviated septum, but might have "flat tubes." She says her father can't even equalize on airplanes, so she might have inherited bad ears.
Here is the kicker. She went diving in the Keys for her cert. dive. She couldn't get down on her second dive. Her buddy thought there was a more serious problem, paniced, shot to the surface and got bent. She said vis was low and she never even saw the DM on that dive.
I suspect fear could be a factor in her failure to return to diving, but would like to give her an option.
