Hi Karen
The altitude will really effect your bottom time. Yours weights will also change but I'm not sure how much. That should be handled in the class, as should the tables. A altitude ajustung computer will help but you still need to know how the tables work at 8000 ft.
One really nice thing about diving the Lake is that it is fresh water and that you don't have to wash your suit after diving. No dry mouth either as you can just take a sip or two.
Thier is alot of other things to around the area of the Lake sotake advantage of them while in the area.
Say you have a great time and report back as to what a great time you had.
Bye for now
