Scuba diving involves using equipment that is easily classified as LIFE SUPPORT equipment.
That said, it is a sport that requires a certain amount of expendable income. If you are
not able to invest in the least expensive part of this sport I would suggest you take up a
less expensive hobby. On the average a person getting vertified for open water can expect
to spend upwards of $500 for certification. I do not know of a shop in the continental US
that supplies what is called your basic personal snorkle gear...mask/boots/gloves/fins and
snorkle.
