Alex, you just have to call around to the stores closest to you and on your way to the dive site to find out if they rent "everything" or if you have to buy certain gear yourself.
Some stores will rent everything except the swimsuit. Other stores require you to buy certain gear.
I have seen the purchase requirement vary from store to store. gloves, boots, wt belts, soft wts, fins, mask, snorkel ... these are the common things that any particular store might not rent.
normally if a store is having a bad experience with a particular type of gear being "lost" a lot, such as gloves or wt belts, then this is one of their specific purchase requirements.
call around on the phone and ask. they will tell you.
