the first time i ever giant strode into the water with a stage clipped on DIR style i kept thinking "oh great! the thing is gonna give me a busted jaw and some dental surgery" but upon entry, it didn't even come close to my face, and in the water i hardly knew it was there, especially WRT drag and entanglement. I've even hovered off the bottom doing macro photography with the thing and while i certainly knew it was there, it was not a significant problem, even with the camera. One more aspect of the DIR config that just simply seems to work!!!!
