I have been working off-shore on a boats, with hard-hat divers and ROV teams. On August 23rd we found a diver on the seafloor at 780',at the bottom of an oil platform. We brought the body up and we turned it over to the local authorities. He was a male about 6', all his gear was on, weights, tank, and suit. The only thing missing was his mask and what was under it. We have tried to contact the police in Port Heuneme, but they aren't telling us anything.
The guys( we all) are wondering if anyone has heard about this. As far as we know there has been no newspaper articles or anyone claiming the body. We were hoping that maybe finding him brought peace and closure for some family.
If anyone knows about this please let me know and I will pass the word.
