It was NOT broken. The point was that I did not tell him the 2nd is HAND tight (intentionally) so WE did not pay any attention to nor did he or I just reach up to make sure it had not loosened during transport. The gear goes through a lot of kickin' around, twisting and bumping from Palm Springs to Laguna to LaJolla.
