Caveat: We're a Sherwood dealer.

I think Sherwood makes a very good reg. I've been to their factory in Niagra Falls and, because they actually manufacture everything themsevles (instead of buying parts from other suppliers and just assmebling things), they have a lot more quality control over every aspect of their product. And because they cut out the middle man, they make a higher-quality reg at a cheaper price than others might.

We use the Brut in our rental program because it's a workhorse. The Magnum's also a good reg. Personally, I'm not too nuts about the Maximus, mainly because the hose feeds from under your arm and I find that annoying, plus it tends to pull down on the right side a bit. You might also want to give some though to the Oasis, which has two moisture-trapping vanes in the second stage to help prevent drymouth.

But in general, Sherwood makes a quality product that should give you years of good value.
