Where were all the chocolobsters anyway?

My buddy and I swan far and wide for 43 minutes and didn't see any of the elusive little buggers. A life guard told me most of the people that caught one were out of the water in 10 minutes! Where most in the shallow end of the pool?

Well, I did see a few halibuts, anyway.
