On the 14th I flew back from Ft. Lauderdale with my 30 cu ft pony in my checked bag. I told the agent the tank was empty and the valve was removed. She took my word for it and the bag with tank was checked through to L.A. In other words, even after the horror of the 11th there were still holes in the system; a system that better improve pretty damn quick.
