One of the newest developments in decompression research was released today by noted diving physiologist Dr. Christian Fritz. Dr. Fritz outlined a new and radical way for the individual diver to check their nitrogen levels and decompression status in water.
With Dr. Fritz method the diver has no need for expensive dive computers or timers.
Divers do not have to learn complicated dive tables.
Dr. Fritz research is a true revolution in Decompression science.
Dr Fritz method works like this, the diver places one of Dr. Fritz special Epee Impactors on the finger tip of his or her second index finger, by pushing the Epee Impactors plunger into the finger tip, the diver will see a tiny stream of brown fluid foaming from the impact site. The diver has only to use the Impactor every 10 feet and match the size the bubbles in the brown foam to comparison charts provided by Dr. Fritz. With careful attention to the size the bubbles in the brown foam, the diver knows exactly what their decompression status is.
Dr. Fritz technique, has been tested by noted Underwater explorer GCIII. GCIII has been using Dr. Fritz special Deep Diving Comparison Charts for about a year. A Quote from GCIII “ Dr. Fritz methods gives the diver a real time view (on the fly) of their deco situation. The only down side is that on deeper dives I loss about a pint of the brown fluid.”
GCIII is working on new DIRR (Doing It Really Right) configuration for the placement of the impactor kit and comparison charts. GCIII wants all DIRR divers to add a special D-Ring (a pee- pee ring) to their crotch strap assembly(to store the impactor and charts), making sure that the impactor and the comparison charts do not hang below the horizontal plane of the diver (GCIII plans on featuring Dr. Fritz’s technique’s and new equipment configuration in his next video).
Dr. Fritz plans on marketing his sport diver comparison charts and Epee Impactor kits (in 12 packs) for $12.95 retail, look for them to be on the market by Christmas.
