We scouted the area on our way back from Ventura yesterday. The surf was HUGE and the surfers were happy. However, on our way out to Ventura, when we passed by there at 6:30 AM, the area looked flat as a pancake. If you're willing to get out there early you'll probably have a good shot at decent conditions.
