3-finger mitts can often be more flexible than gloves, and quite a bit warmer.
For you non-engineer types, there is quite a bit less material going into tension and compression with the mitt than the glove.
Don't know where you'd find any around here tho. I used to have mine made by Ocean Ray. They'd do a semi-custom cut for my wide hands.
The place changed ownership a year or 2 ago & I haven't done any business with the new owners.
