I agree with you regarding the deco gas issue.
The only reason I have been given from TDI is the time issue that I put in my last post. I think this is bad thinking myself and if you will read my previous post you will see how I deal with it when I teach.

The other problem I have with TDI is that they say in the older texts that it is okay to plan the bottom portion of you dive to a 1.6 PO2 under certain circumstances (I don't want to list the criteria here) I don't agree with this and thought I have to put the information out I only go through the examples once and move on without any time spent. I teach a much lower PO2 for the working portion of the dive and only use 1.6 for deco gas.

I don't want to go into to much here on the board because it will only serve to make the natives restless, but I will be happy to talk with you about either in private e-mail or on the phone.
