Er..uh.. Kendall, your main arguement against the tubing is it rots and YOU don't want to change it Regular maintenance IS the Optimal solution.
I think you used sub-optimal K-Mart tubing and didn't get the good stuff and all those other features are just as possible with tubing so...?
