let me preface this with a NO OFFENSE: Who was Jon Hardy? I vaguely remember your previous post regarding this issue. I've never heard of him, but then I'm new to So. Cal diving.

Conversely, I have heard about the Koelhers. It seems to me since they actually created the park they should be the ones to be honored with a renaming, if it was really called for.

Who's idea was it to suggest a renaming?

A better place for divers to have spent their efforts was probably the Rigs to Reefs Bill, but that didn't happen either. Divers could learn a lot from the rockclimbing community in regards to activism. The Access Fund has successfully rallied climbers to support it's issues on numerous occasions. Sounds like divers better start thinking along the same lines.
