There's just a lot of people out there and a lot of them have no concept of courtesy.
Diving is an odd sport. It has inherent risks and inherent difficulties, both of which demand certain disciplines. Some people just can't get that. They want it their way.
I've talked to a lot of crew and I don't think I could do their job. They have to deal with both discourtesy and stupidity that is not only irritating, but also can endanger the diver and the crew. Worse yet, they can't even tell the person they are a twit.
The instructors don't have it much better.
My hat is off to most of the boat crews I have ever met. They help us...
